This is such a beautiful spot to sit and contemplate, yet enough around to keep one busy. My family and I had a wonderful time here at Four Fields. We loved sitting on the back deck and enjoying the views. Very peaceful. We hiked White Oak Canyon Falls and all highly recommend this hike. The pizza at Sperryville Pizza Kitchen was delicious and The Little Country Store about a mile away has good barbeque and Reuben sandwiches.

We absolutely loved our time at Four Fields. The views were amazing and the weather was perfect. We even had the chance to show our five-month old son the cows across the road—his very first animal sighting. What a lovely vacation—we’ll definitely be back next year, or even sooner. A treat was grabbing some Virginia peanuts at the Sperryville Corner Store—we’re stopping by on our way back to D.C. to grab some more. Thank you so much Doug—our family had a great first vacation all together and with our lovely friends.

Thank you for all your tips and advice. Four Fields Farm very quickly became the family favorite. The house and views are amazing at any time, even in the rain. We have all enjoyed family time and unplugging for a bit. Our dog Lolly has enjoyed the sounds of the farm animals/wildlife and the beautiful yard. We made sure to book again in the fall and can’t wait. Definitely our favorite house and location.

This was hands-down the best house we have explored so far. The cleanliness of this place made our stay worry-free during these uncertain times. We enjoyed the views and the porch so much and the sleep we were able to catch up with was priceless! The house was extremely cozy and comfy. We appreciate your attention to minute details and needs that the guests would have. Everything in the house is very well thought of. The dogs especially say thank you for having a fenced-in yard, gated porch and a very clean backyard they could play in. Love the place, love the views. My family and I had a great time staying at your house. The layout is perfect for a multi-generational family group—everyone had plenty of privacy and quiet space. The sandbox was discovered by our three-year old granddaughter. She was introduced to the pleasure of cool sand between her toes. Our granddaughter also enjoyed sliding down into the Adirondack chairs. The information on hiking and other activities in the region was very helpful. We were pleased to find the recycling bins and the fire extinguishers placed strategically. Providing an electrical cord for our electric card in our group was very helpful.

Perfect spot for our family to meet up. The countryside is peaceful and relaxing. Your home is lovely, inviting and central to the things we want to do. We were able to reconnect with our daughter. We enjoyed ourselves so much this week. Every morning we walked down the road with our dog Penny. She loved checking on all the farm animals. Then we drove into the Park to hike. It was wonderful to get away from the normal hustle and bustle of daily life. The house was perfect for us. Our dog loved the yard. She had plenty of space to run, sniff and enjoy herself. What a great getaway. We went to both DuCard and Blue Quartz wineries. Both were great fun. Even enjoyed live music with The Locals on Friday evening. Hiking was the most fun. We did Hazel River and White Oak Canyon/Waterfalls with our fur baby, Finley. We had a great time.

A real treat! This is a lovely spot and ideal for walking or hiking. Views of hills and of Old Rag are beautiful! We also liked watching the cows in the nearby meadow. House is very easy and cozy with great views and a super Franklin woodstove. Thank for setting up the fire so we could light it on arrival. Our dog JJ says thanks for the runs in the field.

This was a perfect spot to host three empty nester families for a weekend of hiking, wineries and great food. Serene location, great accommodations! Hiked White Oak Canyon and Stony Man, lingered at Ducard (including talking with the owner), enjoyed a night under the stars, and reconnected with friends we’ve missed.

We had such a pleasant stay. Cooking and talking all evening. A lovely walk along Hazel River, with spring ephemerals, blood root and trout lilies. Then off to the distillery (Cooper Fox in Sperryville). We had a lovely hike up Berry Hollow Fire Road towards Old Rag, without leaves on the trees there were fine views of the rocky crag. On the way out, we stopped at White Oak Canyon and enjoyed many spring flowers, including trilliums, cardamine, blood root, hepatica, spring beauties, tooth wart, what a thrill. And a loud-singing Louisiana water thrush. Back home for cocktails and dinner on the porch watching the light fade. Thank you for the safe haven.

Our family could not have been happier. Lovely evenings on the deck staring out at the mountains, s’mores by the firepit, and long hikes in the Shenandoah National Park. A fantastically stocked kitchen was perfect for the four of us eager chefs. Bailey the dog loved the deck and backyard. Even the weather was perfect.

We had a wonderful time here at Four Fields! We enjoyed a beautiful Easter weekend with the best weather, including some snow. The home had everything we needed. Our dogs loved the yard and we had plenty of spade for disc golf, bocce ball and frisbee. I hope its ok we took a small cutting from the Korean spice viburnum. Its heavenly! Best wishes.
